Enterprise South Nature Park MTB camps

The camps are designed for the beginner youth rider but are enjoyable for kids as old as 15 who have been riding for years.  The age range is 9-15.  The kids need to be able to ride a bike without assistance or training wheels.

Camps meet at 9am at the ESNP visitors center daily during camp weeks and conclude at 4pm daily.  We begin the week talking about riding hazards, generally, snake and poison ivy identification and proper turn signals.

The kids will get a quick fit to there bikes to try to optimize their performance.  We will identify key parts of the bicycle so that they can talk to a mechanic about what may need fixed in case of a breakdown.  We practice proper ride position, braking technique and cornering skills.  We discuss diet and fuel for their machine, but mostly, WE RIDE!

Kids have ridden over 70 miles in a week of camp before.  We are able to split into groups and get every child the ride they need to have fun and improve as a mountain biker.

You must bring lunch, and snacks.  Also, PLEASE bring ride water and GLOVES!  I hate to see the kids skin their palms up.  Of course, you will need to bring their bike and helmet.

Camp is $180 for the week and there is an option to purchase gloves from Handup Gloves at registration.
